8 July 2002 - Austrian FA chairman Friedrich Stickler praises Gund saying "Ernest has great potential and has already proven himself on the international stage. I wuold obviously like to keep Ernest in Austrian football but i am aware there is international interest and i would like to show the world what Austrian football has to offer"
